Day 13- favorite zombie movie
Ugh, these are probably the type that I enjoy the most, and I’ve been sitting around putting this off and thinking.
Really, it’s a tie between 28 Days Later and Quarantine.
28 Days Later because it’s not a movie, it’s a /film/ a horror /film/ and not just a bunch of zombie bashing and blood. It’s beautiful and is one that breaks stereotypes of horror not being able to be smart or well crafted. Plus, you know, Cillian Murphey.
Quarantine I enjoy because it is another really well done horror movie that, again, brings back some respect to the genre. What I like most about it, is their explanation of how the outbreak began - a hybrid form of rabies. I think that is /awesome/ and it gives me a horror-nerdgasm. Yes, I have seen REC and enjoy it, a lot, but overall I have to choose Quarantine because of their medical reasoning that makes it seem like a zombie outbreak could happen if something went haywire with rabies.
